Bally Brook is perched on a historic hill near the town of Tom’s Brook, VA with stunning views of both the Massanutten & Allegheny mountain ranges. Our luxury tent sleeps 2 adult guests and can accommodate up to 2 doggos for your escape. The tent is equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up a feast under the stars & find rest and relaxation in the beauty of the Shenandoah Valley

  • We offer 1 luxury tent for 1 couple or solo adventurer to share per weekend. There are no other tents on the property & we offer complete privacy for our guests. There are no visitors or guests during your getaway

  • The bathroom is located on the platform directly next to your tent. It features a hot water shower, sink, personal ECO composting toilet and biodegradable bath products. Organic cotton towels & bathrobes are provided for your use as well.

    **Please note- due to our outdoor off-grid set up, hot water will not be available if the temperatures dip below freezing. We provide extra purified drinking water in the event of freezing temps.

  • Complimentary breakfast is included w/ the standard booking rate. Farm house breakfast includes: fresh eggs, butcher's bacon, amish butter & bottled juice. There is also an assortment of organic tea bags & coffee. We pick fresh fruit weekly on the farm & you can expect a basket of fresh fruit stocked as well.

    Our Farm to Fire provisions add-on is tailored to your selections & is enough goods for 2 dinners, 2 breakfast, 2 lunches as well as snacks, alternative options & sides for 2 adults for the weekend. Here is a sample questionnaire we send guests that have added on the food package-

    Any specific requests from our butcher? (ie. certain cut of steaks you prefer or if fresh chicken is desired over fresh pork) **Please note if you would prefer a seafood option. Local catfish, wild caught prawns & fresh river trout is caught weekly.

    Any allergies our baker should be aware of? Morning croissants w/ or w/o nuts? Fresh bread loaves w/o gluten?

    Fresh produce in season on the farm (July) are variety of heirloom squashes, cucumbers, petite gras melons (cantaloupe, watermelon & honeydews), assortment of heirloom tomatoes ranging from plum to sandwich size, fresh lettuce greens, french beans and purple cauliflowers and broccolini. Fresh peaches as well as sweet cherries are also currently being picked in the orchard.

    All food included with the add-on are raw seasonal ingredients & self catered. The tent is stocked with a variety of camp cookbooks & recipe ideas for you to explore. You’ll have a blast cooking & dining under the stars!

  • While we would love for Mother Nature to give our guests the perfect weather for every weekend, we do our best to provide all the essentials to make your getaway comfortable and most importantly, safe.

    For cold forecasts we dress the bed with thermal blankets, cotton flannel sheets & duvet and add extra cozy throws for sitting around the fire. We also add a portable electric heater to the tent for those very chilly nights.

    For rainy weekends we provide extra “dry off” towels stocked at the entrance to the tent & pup paw wipes for muddy paws.

    For hot weekends the tent is outfitted w/ battery operated fans & we stock personal misting fans for a blast of freshness. The bar fridge also keeps food & drinks nice and cold. We also stock mens & womens water shoes for you to use to visit the swimming hole for a cool off swim on hot summer days.

  • While we would love to be able to host extra guests or young glampers, our business permits & insurance only allows us to host 2 adult guests per weekend on the farm.

    Guests under 18 years of age are not allowed due to the inherent risks associated with our property (ie. raised platform, open fire pit and working farm environment)

  • We understand that unforeseeable events can occur & while we will provide alternatives for *forecasted hazardous weather, please review our cancelation break down below:

    30 Days prior to booked Weekend Getaway- 100% Refund on Weekend Booking Rate less 10% processing fee

    14 Days prior to booked Weekend Getaway- 50% Refund on Weekend Booking Rate less 10% processing fee

    7 Days prior to booked Weekend Getaway- 25% Refund on Weekend Booking Rate less 10% processing fee

    <7 Days prior to booked Weekend Getaway- No Refund will be available

    *forecasted hazardous weather- While it may be less than ideal to Glamp in the rain, we do not deem precipitation to be hazardous. Strong winds, lightning storms & flooding are, however, a safety concern & either a full refund or a Weekend Getaway at a later date will be offered. We aim to provide a spectacular retreat for our guests but you & your loved one’s safety remains our first priority!

  • Our Weekend getaways are $300 for the entire weekend, not per night.

    Check-in is anytime after 3pm on Friday afternoon. Your welcome book & goodies for your stay will be located in your tent.

    Check-Out: We ask that our guests are out of the tent by 12pm on Sunday. Please make arrangements prior to the morning (preferably the day before) of your departure if you need extra time in the tent on Sunday. Prior to your departure we ask you ensure your fire pit is completely extinguished & any furniture that had been moved be returned to it’s original location.
